Le Croissant d’or

Le Croissant d’or – 617 Ursulines Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70116 – The next morning we wanted to start our day off with some pastries, so we went to a place that I’d been to the the last time I was in New Orleans. We purchased coffee, croissants, and baguettes. The coffee was pretty good and the baguettes were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, so they hit the spot. I wish I could say the same for this cafe’s namesake though. The croissants were disappointing because they weren’t crispy or flaky on the outside at all, but rather soft all around. The other treats in the glass case looked amazing though. I would recommend a quick stop here for a snack or a small breakfast.
