Arabic Soda Cans in Sudan

One of my favorite things to see when I’m traveling to foreign countries is what their soda cans look like. No matter what the country, there is always some difference. Even other English speaking countries have differences. Pictured above are Sprite, Coke, and a drink we don’t have in America called, “Pasgianos.” When my cousin and her husband came to visit us in the U.S. we had them try Dr. Pepper and they hated it. They said it tasted like medicine. What really confused me was that if Dr. Pepper tastes like cherry Tylenol mixed with cola to some people, Pasgianos tastes like cherry Tylenol with Red Bull. This was over the top sweet and tart at the same time. The red color of the soda only solidified the comparison in my mind as well. Strangely enough my cousin’s husband likes this, but hates Dr. Pepper.
