My cousins took my brother and I to lunch at this newer Lebanese restaurant. “Ishtar” is the name for a Babylonian goddess of fertility, war, and love. They had never eaten there before and wanted to try it. I will have to admit that the food was good although a little salty. In the upper right photo is Fatoosh, a sald with fried bread strips in it. In the lower left was some great Baba Ghanoush (roasted eggplant dip) with red pepper powder. In the lower right was my beef Shawarma entree with broth flavored rice.
