Kishk – Cracked Borghul Wheat in a Creamy Sauce

My brother could not stop raving about this dish that my aunt made the last time he visited Sudan (I couldn’t go that time). Kishk is borghul wheat in a creamy, rich, broth. It’s more like a porridge or gravy depending on its thickness. The version pictured above was extremely rich and decadent, while the version below was lighter. I would have to agree with my brother that it does taste pretty amazing, but it is heavy.
