Windowsill in My Grandmother’s Home

This is a photo from inside my grandmother’s home. That windowsill in particular is where I remember I used to sit as a 4-year old (the last time I visited Sudan), watching the people in the street, as my grandmother hand-fed me bread dipped in ground beef with tomato sauce. My uncle told me that their family home is possibly over 130 years old. There are cracks in the walls that my grandmother has refused all attempts to fix. She insists on keeping her home as she remembers it.
