8th Stop: Eiderdown Restaurant in Kentucky

I ended up at the restaurant without even knowing where we were going. At first I was skeptical because it is located in the middle of a residential neighborhood and just seemed very out of place. Turns out that this hidden gem had some great food. As appetizers we had the pretzel sticks with a mild/sweet mustard as well as a spicy/sweet mustard. We also had duck fat popcorn and you could really taste the delicious duck in the light popcorn. The last appetizer was a beer cheese dip that was creamy, not too heavy, and had a solid beer after taste. All of the appetizers were delicious. My entree was a chef’s choice, German white Sausage over zucchini, summer squash, and rice in a mildly creamy, light tomato based sauce. A really good meal overall. Highly recommended.
