10th Stop: The Back Door in Kentucky

This next bar was as divey and gritty as it sounds. When we arrived, we had to literally enter through the backdoor of a shopping mall alley. Once inside, it was dark and packed with people. Upon ordering six shots, which rang up at $19, I suddenly found the place much more attractive. I couldn’t believe how cheap the drinks were and how nice the bartenders were. At one point, I asked for a shot they didn’t recognize (Red Death Shot – pictured) and they waited while I pulled up the ingredients on my phone without complaining. As we were leaving, a group of lesbians were cussing out some bearded guy with a ponytail and in response, he apparently punched one of them in the face knocking her to the ground. Yeah. It was that kind of bar… but the drinks were really good and cheap!
