Salem Witch Trials Memorial Est. 1992 – Liberty Street, Salem, MA – This memorial was awesome. It commemorates the fact that in 1692, 14 women and 6 men were convicted of being witches before being executed. The memorial is in a square shape, but open at one end. Along the edges are stone benches that jut out from the walls with the names of the “witches,” the execution method, and the date of execution. Truly fascinating, horrifying, and beautiful all at the same time.
